it's so audrey.

Ever since my freshman year of high school I have adored Audrey Hepburn. Shortly after I discovered her I devoted a summer reading all about her and watching all the movies my local library had to offer. As of late I wanted to re-watch all her movies because at the time of watching them I was young and didn't really understand the old Hollywood mumbo jumbo talk. So far I've been able to re-watch:

Breakfast at Tiffany's

Charade

The Children's Hour

Funny Face

How to Steal a Million

Love in the Afternoon

My Fair Lady

The Nun's Story

Roman Holiday

Sabrina

Paris, When it Sizzles

What amazes me about her is that she knew many languages: including, Dutch, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and French. She did a lot of good with UNICEF 'til her dying day and she aspired most to be a mother, not an actress. She didn't care that she wasn't another tall, blonde, blue-eyed hussy during that era. Audrey did her own thing, which made her oh so Audrey.

Isn't this pose so cute?! Cuddlin' with her first husband, Mel Ferrer.

Still can't get myself to watch this one: Wait Until Dark. I hate scary movies. This one is about a blind woman who gets chased by a desperate drug dealer. Apparently his stash is tucked away in a stuffed bear Audrey's character has in her home. Every time I watch a scary movie I have to watch a cartoon after to help me fall asleep. As of late I've been watching this. Makes me laugh so, so hard.

If you love Audrey as much as I do check out this biography art book of her for kids

Way cute, huh? Looks just like her! The artist is young... she said she didn't know much about Audrey before she drew the pictures! Not too bad for knowing nothing about her. Can't wait to get this loverly book for my own future kid's library someday. It's never too early to start stocking!
